02:15 PM EDT, 05/06/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Verizon Communications ( VZ ) said Monday it has agreed to provide an uncrewed aircraft system platform, sensor, and personnel resources to respond and collect aerial imagery of storm-damaged areas of interest identified by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

Under the three-year partnership, the Verizon Frontline Crisis Response Team will assist NOAA to enhance its National Weather Service offices to conduct post-storm damage assessments, while also providing data for research conducted by the NOAA National Severe Storms Laboratory, the company said.
