06:59 AM EDT, 10/01/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Verizon Communications ( VZ ) said late Monday that it has fully restored a network disruption that impacted thousands of US customers.

"Verizon engineers have fully restored today's network disruption that impacted some customers," the mobile phone carrier said in a post on the social media platform X. "Service has returned to normal levels."

Chicago, Minneapolis, Phoenix, Omaha, Denver and Seattle users were among the hardest hit by the outage. The Federal Communications Commission has said it is investigating the network outage, Reuters reported.

Verizon did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
