10:44 AM EDT, 07/29/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Verizon Communications ( VZ ) said Monday its Verizon Business division has secured a task order valued at nearly $80 million to transition the National Weather Service's voice and data services to the Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions vehicle from the Networx contract.

The move will enhance the National Weather Service's ability to provide weather, water, and climate data, forecasts, and warnings, the company said.
