05:07 PM EDT, 10/06/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Verona Pharma ( VRNA ) said late Monday that the High Court of Justice of England and Wales approved its about $10 billion acquisition by Merck ( MRK ) .

Under the deal, Verona shareholders will receive $107 per American Depositary Share, with each ADS representing eight Verona ordinary shares.

The transaction is expected to close on Tuesday, with Monday marking the last day of trading for Verona's ADS on Nasdaq.
