07:47 AM EDT, 06/12/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Vertex (VERX) said Wednesday it acquired tax-specific artificial intelligence capabilities from tax services and software firm Ryan for an undisclosed sum.

The newly acquired AI capabilities are designed to manage "more effectively" tax mapping, which is a "manual and time-consuming process", Vertex said.

The acquired AI capabilities use proprietary and private Large Language Models to provide Generative Pre-Trained Transformer capabilities in combination with the human-in-the-loop tax expertise, Vertex said.
