10:56 AM EDT, 07/16/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Vertex Pharmaceuticals ( VRTX ) and Genomics are extending their collaboration by three years to discover and develop precision medicines using genetics and machine learning, Genomics said Tuesday.

The collaboration, which started in 2018 and was previously extended in 2021, will now continue until 2026, according to Genomics.

The company also said it will expand genomic insights and the number of therapeutic areas under study as part of the extension.
