08:53 AM EDT, 10/10/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Viasat ( VSAT ) said Thursday it has begun delivering ViaSat ( VSAT )-3 F1 service to the US Marine Corps, the first government customer to use the network.

The company said the Marine Wing Communications Squadron 38 uses multi-mission terminals to access the service while the 3rd Marine Littoral Regiment based in Hawaii employs the network for mission and reconnaissance communications.

The ViaSat ( VSAT )-3 constellation, which will include two additional satellites, provides broadband connectivity for US and coalition operations' performance, security, and resilience needs, the company added.
