04:12 AM EDT, 04/14/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Viasat ( VSAT ) said Tuesday it started a technical evaluation process to assess and qualify its newest electronically steered antenna terminal across all current Boeing ( BA ) commercial jet programs.

The communication hardware, which connects to multiple satellite networks simultaneously to provide consistent internet access, will become a factory-installed option for airlines upon receiving formal system certification.

The company said the Viasat AERA terminal is scheduled to enter the market in early 2028.

Viasat ( VSAT ) shares were up 2.5% in premarket activity, while Boeing ( BA ) was little changed.
