11:12 AM EDT, 09/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Viasat ( VSAT ) shares rose 5% in recent Thursday trading after the company got a five-year contract for as much as $153 million from the Defense Information Services Agency to provide network services and support for the US Army.
The contract's period of performance comprises a base year with four one-year option periods, the company said Thursday in a statement.
Viasat ( VSAT ) said it will provide engineering services and deliver operational and technical support for the Army's Project Manager Mission Command Blue Force Tracker program.
