09:09 AM EDT, 08/01/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Viasat ( VSAT ) said Friday that it will "evaluate" proposals from Carronade Capital Management after the activist investor called for a spinoff or initial public offering of the company's defense and advanced technologies unit.

"The Board and management team will carefully evaluate Carronade's ideas," Viasat ( VSAT ) said. "We look forward to continuing a constructive and collaborative dialogue with all our stakeholders, including Carronade."

Viasat ( VSAT ) shares were down more than 3% in recent Friday premarket activity.
