Video platform Vimeo names Philip Moyer as CEO

April 4 (Reuters) - Video-hosting platform Vimeo ( VMEO )

said on Thursday it has named Philip Moyer as its new

CEO, effective Apr. 8.

Moyer has been vice president of the Strategic Industries

unit at Alphabet's Google Cloud since July 2019. Prior

to Alphabet, Moyer also served as Director of Financial Services

at Amazon Web Services.

He will be replacing board member and interim CEO Adam

Gross, who will remain on the board after the transition.

Vimeo's ( VMEO ) shares rose 1.71% in extended trading.

Vimeo ( VMEO ) will report its first quarter-results on May 6.
