HANOI, Sept 22 (Reuters) - Vietnamese airline Vietjet

said on Monday it has taken delivery of the first

Boeing 737-8 plane under its $32 billion order for 200 Boeing

737 jets.

Vietnamese President Luong Cuong attended a delivery

ceremony in Seattle, during his visit to the United States to

attend the UN General Assembly, the company said in a statement.

The budget airline said the aircraft order is part of a plan

to expand its global network.

Reuters reported last week that the delivery was set to take

place.
