10:42 AM EDT, 09/24/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Village Farms International ( VFF ) said Tuesday it has acquired the remaining 15% equity interest in Leli Holland, taking complete ownership of the licensed producer in the Dutch cannabis program.

Leli is expected to commence cultivation in October, pending final regulatory inspections, with its first sales estimated in Q1 of 2025, according to Village Farms ( VFF ).

The company also said it completed the indoor cultivation facility in Drachten, Netherlands, that will deliver cannabis products to about 80 Dutch coffee shops.

Village Farms' ( VFF ) shares were up more than 2% in recent trading.
