08:23 AM EDT, 05/30/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Village Farms International ( VFF ) said Thursday that it has increased its ownership stake in Quebec-based Rose LifeScience to 80% from 70%.

Village Farms ( VFF ) said it acquired the additional stake from Rose LifeScience Chief Executive and President Davide Zaffino and Chief Operating Officer Brian Stevenson. Zaffino and Stevenson combined own the remaining 20% stake and will retain their current roles, according to Village Farms ( VFF ).

Financial details were not disclosed.

Village Farms ( VFF ) shares were 3.5% higher in recent premarket activity.
