Virgin Galactic Completes Manufacturing Facility for Delta Spaceships

11:10 AM EDT, 07/10/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Virgin Galactic Holdings ( SPCE ) said Wednesday it has completed a new manufacturing facility in Phoenix for assembling Delta spaceships starting Q1 of 2025.

Virgin Galactic ( SPCE ) said its facility will receive tooling in Q4 and major subassemblies, including the wing and fuselage, in 2025 to build the first two Delta spaceships.

The company said it plans to initiate a flight test before commercial operations start in 2026.

Delta spaceships, seating up to six passengers, are expected to fly up to eight missions a month, the company added.

Shares of the company rose 1.9% in recent trading.
