12:59 PM EDT, 06/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- A federal judge on Tuesday denied Visa's (V) motion to dismiss a Justice Department antitrust lawsuit that alleges the company "monopolized and attempted to monopolize the United States market for general purpose debit network services."
"Because Visa requests the premature resolution of factual issues at the pleadings stage, and for the additional reasons explained below, Visa's motion to dismiss is denied," US District Judge John Koeltl said in his ruling.
Visa did not immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
