01:08 PM EDT, 07/22/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Visa Worldwide's commitment plan to improve its business practices in the credit card market has been approved by Japan Fair Trade Commission, the antitrust regulator said Tuesday.

The Commission probed Visa for allegedly making it harder for credit card companies to use competing processing networks, according to the statement.

The JFTC said it has approved the plan, which includes a five-year implementation period. It added that the approval does not mean that Visa conduct violated the law.
