03:31 AM EST, 12/09/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Vision Marine Technologies ( VMAR ) said Sunday it has formed a partnership with Armada Pontoons to launch a new pontoon boat that meets requirements for electric boats on some North American lakes.

Vision Marine ( VMAR ) Chief Executive Alexandre Mongeon described the new pontoon as "a turn-key, regulation-friendly" offering.

Many lakes in North America have implemented rules that allow only electric motors to protect ecosystems and cut down on pollution, the company said.
