11:12 AM EDT, 08/20/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Vital Farms ( VITL ) said Tuesday it has appointed Joe Holland to the newly created role of chief supply chain officer, starting Sept. 1.

Holland most recently served as executive vice president of operations and supply chain at consumer cannabis product provider Curaleaf.

Vital Farms ( VITL ) said Holland will assume many of the responsibilities previously held by Chief Operating Officer Jason Dale, who will remain with the company in an advisory role through the end of the year.

Vital Farms ( VITL ) shares were down 1.6% in recent trading.
