04:31 PM EDT, 03/26/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Vitesse Energy ( VTS ) said late Thursday its board has appointed Jamie Benard as president and chief executive officer, effective May 1.

Benard succeeds founder Bob Gerrity as CEO, who decided to resign as CEO and board chair, effective immediately, the company said.

Dan O'Leary, lead independent director, succeeds Gerrity as chair, the company said.

Vitesse's president, Brian Cree, also announced his pending retirement but will serve as interim CEO until May 1. He will remain with Vitesse in a senior advisory role through Dec. 31, the company added.
