09:18 AM EDT, 06/18/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Vizsla Copper ( VCUFF ) said on Thursday that diamond drilling has started at its Palmer project in southeast Alaska.
The 2026 exploration program is the first phase of a multi-year strategy to broaden Palmer's critical minerals resource base. Vizsla hopes to evaluate discovery opportunities and "advance the technical understanding of the broader Palmer district," it said in a statement
Two drill rigs are on site, with 10,000 metres of drilling planned. The focus will initially be on the Palmer deposit's South Wall Zone, where a high-grade copper-rich core that yielded some of the highest copper grades intersected on the property so far, was previously identified, Vizsla added.
Vizsla Copper ( VCUFF ) shares fell $0.06, to $1.12 on Wednesday on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
