11:06 AM EDT, 07/22/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Vizsla Copper ( VCUFF ) on Tuesday was at last look up 16% after it discovered a "significant" copper-molybdenum porphyry-related system at the Thira target on its Poplar Project in central British Columbia.
The company said the first drill hole of the program, TH25-138, intersected near-surface, porphyry-related copper-molybdenum-silver-gold mineralization throughout its entire near 500-meter length. The drill rig is currently evaluating the western extent of strong copper-molybdenum mineralization intersected in discovery hole TH25-138.
Vizsla said the drill program has now been expanded with over 5,000 meters now planned at the Thira target area with drilling aimed at investigating the lateral and vertical extent of the porphyry system.
"Considering the shallow mineralization, large remaining untested anomaly, excellent road access, and gentle topography, this result has extraordinary potential to become a significant discovery in central British Columbia," said Vizsla Copper ( VCUFF ) Chief Executive Craig Parry.
Shares of the company were last seen up $0.02 at $0.145 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
