10:11 AM EST, 01/10/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Vizsla Silver ( VZLA ) on Friday announced that a landslide at the Panuco project in Sinaloa, Mexico, impacted an exploration drill pad and killed an employee of a contractor, Bysla Drilling.

A second employee of Bylsa was also injured in the same incident and is currently in hospital in critical condition.

Vizsla Silver ( VZLA ) said it initiated a detailed investigation and will work closely with Bylsa and the local authorities.

Activities at the project have been suspended until the cause of the incident is determined.

The company's shares were last seen up $0.03, to $2.93, on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
