04:16 AM EST, 03/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Vodafone ( VOD ) and AST SpaceMobile ( ASTS ) said Monday they have agreed to create a jointly owned satellite service business to serve mobile network operators in Europe.

The new business will seek to offer consumers and businesses access to secure space-based cellular broadband connectivity, the companies said.

Under the agreement, the venture will distribute AST's satellite services to European operators under a single turnkey arrangement.
