Volaris' Q1 Swings to Earnings as Revenue Advances -- Shares Rise Pre-Bell

04:44 AM EDT, 04/23/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Volaris (VLRS) reported Q1 earnings Monday of $0.29 per diluted American depositary share, swinging from a loss of $0.61 a year earlier.

Two analysts polled by Capital IQ expected a loss of $0.07.

Revenue for the quarter ended March 31 was $768 million, up from $731 million a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $693.3 million.

Shares of the Mexican airline company were up more than 1% in recent Tuesday premarket activity.
