Volaris Reports Lower Passenger Demand, Capacity for October

10:51 AM EST, 11/07/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Volaris (VLRS) said Thursday that its passenger demand, measured as revenue passenger miles, fell 9% in October to 2.51 billion from 2.76 billion a year earlier.

Capacity for the month, measured as available seat miles, dropped 6.8% to 2.87 billion from 3.08 billion a year earlier, the low-cost carrier said.

The company said its load factor in October was 87.4 % compared with 89.5% a year earlier.

Volaris stock gained 3.2% in recent trading.
