April 30 (Reuters) - Volkswagen's 25,000-euro
ID.2 car being built in Spain and due to hit the market this
year could be its first battery-electric vehicle to make equal
margins to its combustion engine equivalent, the carmaker's CFO
said on Wednesday.
"There is still a lot of support necessary on pricing side
for battery-electric cars," Arno Antlitz added, emphasising the
importance of implementing the carmaker's cost-cutting package
agreed last December to compensate for the dilution to margins
of higher battery-electric sales.
