07:01 AM EDT, 10/23/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Volt Lithium ( VLTLF ) on Wednesday said it has begun producing battery-grade lithium carbonate from its U.S. field operations in the Permian Basin in West Texas.
The company said it has built up an inventory of high-quality eluate that is being converted into a 99.5% battery-grade lithium carbonate. Samples of lithium carbonate have been created and verified via third-party testing for review for potential offtake partners.
The company intends to continue producing lithium chloride concentrate and technical-grade and battery-grade lithium carbonate in the field for the remainder of the year.
Volt's share price rose 3.7% to $0.42 on Tuesday.
