May 1, 2024 6:09 AM

08:42 AM EDT, 05/01/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Vortex Metals ( VMSSF ) on Wednesday said the TSX Venture Exchange has conditionally approved its proposed acquisition of up to an 80% interest in the Illapel Copper Project in Chile. The definitive agreement to acquire the interest was signed last November.

When approved, Vortex will initiate a first-pass exploration program, which includes testing of high-priority, drill-ready targets north and south of the Rio 27 mine and detailed mapping, sampling, and drilling of the epithermal vein targets in the western concession area.

Vortex will also initiate mapping and sampling across promising structures which have been identified throughout the project area.
