05:08 PM EDT, 07/01/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Westinghouse Air Brake Technologies ( WAB ) said late Tuesday it has completed its $1.78 billion acquisition of Evident's Inspection Technologies division, previously part of Olympus Corporation's Scientific Solutions Division.

The net cost of the deal is approximately $1.68 billion after tax benefits, the company said.

Wabtec said the transaction was financed through a mix of cash on hand, newly issued term notes, and borrowings under its existing credit agreement.

The company said it expects the acquisition to be slightly accretive to adjusted earnings per share in the second half of 2025 and plans to update its full-year financial guidance during its Q2 earnings call.
