10:27 AM EDT, 10/21/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Westinghouse Air Brake Technologies ( WAB ) , or Wabtec, said Monday it agreed with Kazakhstan Temir Zholy to a $405 million deal to supply Evolutions Series ES44ACi locomotives.

The new locomotives will be built at the company's Lokomotiv Kurastyru Zauyty plant in Astana, according to Wabtec.

Wabtec said it will begin delivering the first locomotives under the order from next year.
