09:05 AM EDT, 08/19/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Walgreens Boots Alliance ( WBA ) said Monday it is collaborating with the US Department of Health and Human Services' Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority to bolster enrollment in decentralized clinical drug trials.

The drugstore chain said the collaboration is meant to help "execute more efficient and relevant" clinical research of products regulated by the US Food and Drug Administration.

The partnership will use Walgreens's clinical trial ecosystem, which it said has reached more than five million patients to potentially recruit into clinical trials since its launch in 2022.

Financial terms of the collaborating were not disclosed.
