07:51 AM EDT, 07/31/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Wallbridge Mining ( WLBMF ) reported Wednesday assay results from the 9,000-meter phase 1 drilling program at its Martiniere gold project in Quebec.
The company said the results confirmed the presence of high-grade gold mineralization in multiple areas of the project.
Highlights include 44.63 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 1.1 meters, 8.40 g/t gold over 1.5 meters and 1.62 g/t gold over 24.3 meters.
"The successful completion of our Martiniere Phase 1 drilling program marks an important milestone in advancing the project," CEO Brian Penny said. "With geotechnical characterization studies and metallurgical testing well underway, our focus now shifts to exploring extensions along the known gold-bearing trends toward newly identified satellite targets, including the Dragonfly and Horsefly zones."
Wallbridge said it is commencing a 6,000-meter phase 2 drilling program at Martiniere, aiming to test potential extensions of the mineralized gold trends identified through recently completed re-interpretation of deposit geology and mineralization controls.
The company's share price closed 3.1% lower yesterday at $0.078.
