12:31 PM EST, 02/05/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Walmart ( WMT ) is expected to show strong Q4 performance, although fiscal 2025 guidance may be conservative, Oppenheimer said in a note Wednesday.
US comparable sales are expected to rise by at least 4.5% in Q4, driven by gains in grocery, health and wellness, and general merchandise, as well as continued strength at Sam's Club and in key international markets, the investment firm said.
Tariff issues affecting China, Mexico, and Canada remain hard to quantify, but Walmart's ( WMT ) scale and supply chain should help it manage these risks better than peers, the Oppenheimer analysts noted.
Oppenheimer raised the price target for Walmart ( WMT ) to $110 after the stock crossed its previous price target of $100 on Tuesday, but maintained an outperform rating.
Shares of the company were up more than 1% in recent trading.
