Analysts polled by FactSet expected $0.73.
Revenue for the fiscal quarter ended July 31 was $177.40 billion, up from $169.34 billion a year earlier.
Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $175.94 billion.
The company projects fiscal Q3 adjusted EPS of $0.58 to $0.60 per share. Analysts surveyed by FactSet expect $0.57.
For fiscal Q3, the retail giant expects net sales to increase 3.75% to 4.75%. Analysts polled by FactSet expect net sales of $176.03 billion.
For fiscal 2026, the company now expects adjusted EPS of $2.52 to $2.62, compared with a previous guidance of $2.50 to $2.60. Analysts polled by FactSet forecast $2.62.
The company said it projects fiscal 2026 net sales growth of 3.75% to 4.75%, compared with a previous outlook of a 3% to 4% increase. Analysts surveyed by FactSet expect $705.98 billion.
Walmart ( WMT ) shares were down 2.2% in recent Thursday premarket activity.
