Walmart Launches Eco-Friendly Home Office Campus: Details

Walmart Inc ( WMT ). unveiled its new, sustainable New Home Office campus in Northwest Arkansas.

The 350-acre site prioritizes worker well-being, environmental responsibility, and public accessibility.

This multibillion-dollar project is a phased development set to be completed throughout 2025, marking a commitment to associate experience, community, and environmental leadership.

CEO Doug McMillon highlighted that the campus pays tribute to Walmart’s heritage while embracing the future of retail.

“This campus will allow us to keep making a positive difference in our customers’ lives for generations to come,” McMillon said.

The new space incorporates mass timber construction, renewable energy-powered offices, and seamless connectivity to Downtown Bentonville.

The heart of the campus is Sam Walton Hall, a 200,000-square-foot auditorium for collaboration and events. Other notable features include Helen’s Amphitheatre, a food hall named 8th & Plate, and a variety of street-front retail shops offering local and national brands.

Designed with associates in mind, the campus includes wellness facilities like Walton Family Whole Health & Fitness, a childcare center, and bike trails. Smart technology, energy-efficient systems, and green space are integrated to achieve LEED Platinum certification.
