06:57 AM EST, 12/17/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Walmart ( WMT ) has formed a partnership with Chinese online delivery service provider Meituan to feature Walmart ( WMT ) goods on its platform, news outlets reported Tuesday, citing a company statement posted to the Chinese social media platform WeChat.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Walmart ( WMT ) stores across China are now integrated into Meituan's distribution platform, the official China Daily News reported.

Meituan is China's largest food ordering service but also provides other online tools including delivery of goods, Reuters reported.

Walmart China Chief Procurement Officer Zhu Jun said the Meituan partnership is part of the company's effort to offer customers "diversified retail options" via integration into various platforms and channels, China Daily News reported.

Walmart ( WMT ) did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
