Walmart recalls Ozark Trail bottles after three reported injuries, US agency says
Jul 10, 2025 8:53 AM

July 10 (Reuters) - Walmart ( WMT ) has recalled about

850,000 of its Ozark Trail water bottles after reports of three

injuries, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said on

Thursday.

The retailer's China-made stainless steel insulated bottles,

sold for about $15, have led to laceration hazards as the lid

forcefully ejects when consumers attempt to open them after

storing food and beverages for a long period, the agency added.

Of the three reported cases, two individuals suffered

permanent vision loss after being hit in the eye, according to

the agency.

Walmart ( WMT ) did not immediately respond to a request for

comment.
