10:40 AM EDT, 03/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Walmart ( WMT ) and EDP Renewables North America have entered into a 15-year power purchase agreement for a portion of a new 180-megawatt solar project in Texas, EDP said Tuesday.

Walmart ( WMT ) will buy 162 MWac under the agreement, adding to its current procurement of 233 MWac utility-scale solar and wind energy, along with 36 MWac distributed solar from EDP.

Financial details weren't disclosed.
