01:40 PM EDT, 08/27/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Walmart ( WMT ) said Tuesday its Walmart Fulfillment Services is offering new ways for sellers to move merchandise across markets and use the company to fulfill e-commerce retail orders.
The company's new Multichannel Solutions program will allow sellers to use Walmart Fulfillment Services, or WFS, to fulfill orders from any e-commerce website via Walmart's ( WMT ) supply chain.
Walmart ( WMT ) will fulfill orders and manage returns while offering unbranded packaging, shipping and rates averaging 15% lower than the competition, the company said, adding that the program will launch on Sept. 10.
The company also said WFS can now handle transportation of inbound goods from Asia directly to WFS facilities in the US thanks to its new Walmart Cross Border import service.
Walmart ( WMT ) is also opening its carrier network to sellers for full-truckload shipments. Through the Walmart Preferred Carrier program, sellers can now choose to ship a few items or an entire truckload at special rates via carriers vetted by the company, Walmart ( WMT ) said.
