05:42 PM EDT, 03/27/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Vizio Holding ( VZIO ) said Wednesday that Walmart ( WMT ) told the US Federal Trade Commission and the Department of Justice it will voluntarily withdraw and refile the Hart-Scott-Rodino notification to give the agencies more time to review the proposed buyout of Vizio ( VZIO ) by Walmart ( WMT ).

Walmart ( WMT ) expects to refile on March 29 and the waiting period will then expire on April 29, Vizio ( VZIO ) said in a regulatory filing.

Vizio ( VZIO ) shares fell 1.1% in recent after-hours activity, and Walmart ( WMT ) eased 0.3%.
