05:58 AM EDT, 09/16/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Walt Disney ( DIS ) and DirecTV said Saturday they have reached an agreement in principle to restore Disney ( DIS ) content to DirecTV.

Disney ( DIS ) halted distribution of its content to DirecTV over stalled negotiations. Though it has restored service, the two companies are still trying to finalize a new, multi-year contract, they said.

"Through this first-of-its-kind collaboration, DirecTV and Disney ( DIS ) are giving customers the ability to tailor their video experience through more flexible options," the companies said.
