Walt Disney Plans to Launch ESPN Streaming Service in Fall 2025

01:24 PM EST, 02/05/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Walt Disney ( DIS ) Chief Executive Robert Iger on Wednesday provided details of the planned launch of an ESPN ( DIS ) streaming service in the fall of this year.

Iger said during the fiscal Q1 earnings call that the company's sports strategy is to "make ESPN ( DIS ) available however the consumer wants it, wherever the consumer wants it," according to a FactSet transcript

The company is going to bundle ESPN ( DIS ) with Disney+ and Hulu and offer customers a pricing range that provides options to have a sports-only service or combine the other services, the CEO said during the company's

Iger said the company wants to make ESPN ( DIS ) a flagship offering with multiple elements and include some form of betting and fantasy to it down the line.
