Walt Disney's ESPN Enters Deal to Acquire NFL Network

04:43 AM EDT, 08/06/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Walt Disney's ( DIS ) ESPN ( DIS ) subsidiary has agreed to acquire NFL Network and certain other assets from the NFL in exchange for a 10% stake in ESPN ( DIS ), the companies said late Tuesday.

The acquisition includes NFL-owned and controlled RedZone Channel and NFL Fantasy.

Under the deal, ESPN ( DIS ) will own and operate NFL Network, including both linear and digital rights, with plans to fully integrate the network into an upcoming direct-to-consumer service.

NFL has also agreed to license to ESPN ( DIS ) certain NFL content and other intellectual property, the companies said.
