Wang & Lee Group to Develop E-Bike Lithium-Ion Battery Pack with Cystar, Hong Kong University

11:45 AM EST, 02/25/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Wang & Lee Group ( WLGS ) said Tuesday it will support the City University of Hong Kong, through the university's collaboration with Cystar Limited, for the research and development of a large lithium-ion battery pack designed specifically for electric bicycles.

The collaboration aims to develop a pouch-type lithium-ion battery, offering a lighter and better-performing alternative to traditional cylindrical cells.

The battery pack, targeted to have a power output of 500 watts, will also have multiple applications across the automotive and robotics industries, Wang & Lee ( WLGS ) said.
