Warner Bros., Charter Sign Multi-Year Distribution Deal
Sep 12, 2024 7:02 AM

09:41 AM EDT, 09/12/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) and Charter Communications ( CHTR ) said Thursday that they have entered a multi-year distribution agreement that integrates linear video and streaming services.

The deal, renewed nearly a year early, will bring Max's Ad Lite, as well as Discovery+ to Charter's Spectrum TV Select customers at no extra cost, expanding the streaming options within Spectrum's bundles, the companies said.

The partnership extends Spectrum's carriage of Warner Bros.' linear network portfolio, including CNN, TNT, and HGTV, while positioning Max as a "preferred partner" for direct-to-consumer apps and bundles, the companies said.

Charter plans to fully deploy direct-to-consumer offerings to broadband customers by next year, the companies said.

Financial terms of the deal were not provided.
