04:35 AM EST, 03/07/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Warner Music Group ( WMG ) on Thursday confirmed that it has started discussions with Believe SA, a digital music company, to acquire the latter for at least 17 euros ($18.52) per share.

The company said the merger will be "beneficial" to it and other stakeholders, including shareholders and employees. It also said the acquisition would provide Believe with strategic support and financial stability to help the development and growth of the company.

Warner Music ( WMG ) said it is currently waiting for access to the due diligence information it requested last month.
