06:26 AM EST, 11/17/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Waterous Energy Fund Management, in its capacity as manager of certain limited partnerships, announced over the weekend that it has purchased 1,926,055 common shares of Greenfire Resources ( GFR ) through a private transaction. The purchased shares represent approximately 2.7% of the issued and outstanding common shares of Greenfire and they were acquired for cash consideration of C$6.65 each, representing an aggregate purchase price of C$12,808,265.75.
Immediately prior to completion of the transaction, WEF owned 48,003,757 common shares, representing approximately 68.3% of the issued and outstanding common shares of Greenfire, and 2,654,179 common share purchase warrants. Immediately after completion of the transaction, WEF owns 49,929,812 common shares and 2,654,179 common share purchase warrants, representing approximately 71.1% of the issued and outstanding common shares of Greenfire on an undiluted basis.
Meanwhile, over the weekend, Simply Wall St. reported that Greenfire Executive Chairman, Adam Waterous, recently bought a "whopping" US$23 million worth of stock, at a price of US$4.67.
GFR was at last look down 1.1% in US premarket.
