Cairn India expects to get 50,000-60,000 barrels of oil equivalent from the company's Raageshwari gas field block in Rajasthan, the company's CEO Ajay Dixit told CNBC-TV18.

Speaking about the firm's plans in Rajasthan, he said, “In PSC Rajasthan blocks, we have gone ahead significantly in terms of production and oil recovery percentages. Currently, we are injecting polymers and in some of the fields we are yet to inject the polymer. So, with the polymer injection, we would be in the range of around 35 percent recovery of the oil in place.”

“Once we implement the next steps of ASP, we could go up to 51 percent of recovery,” he added. Cairn India will wait for the government's proposal on BPCL stake and evaluate all the pros and cons, he added.
