Ashank Desai, VC & MD of Mastek, on Monday said that John Owen has resigned as group chief executive officer to explore new opportunities.
Owen will be relinquishing his role on January 18.
Speaking in an interview to CNBC-TV18, he said, “We are getting large clients in the US and we need to focus there. Therefore, the company is looking to identify a new CEO who would have a large experience in US and could be based in US. We have already appointed one of the top five recruitment firm in the US who are doing search in US and soon we would have a new CEO in place.”
However, Desai said, John Owen will be available to the company if required.
On business front he said, we have a clear strategic plan under John Owen on which we will move ahead.
